FAQ'S

Elderberry and Honey Tonic:

Serving size and how often to take?

Adults take 1 tbsp per day and children take 1 tsp. Since this is a food product, it is safe to take more—up to 3 oz a day when needed (similar to how you can't really eat "too many" blueberries). However, a little goes a long way. You may also take it every two hours as desired or needed.

How to consume?

You can take it straight in a shot glass, or add it to fruit juice, soda water, yogurt, smoothies, or oatmeal. It even works in margaritas! For kids, try mixing it with water in popsicle molds for a daily treat.

Can my baby take elderberry tonic?

No. Children under one year of age should not consume honey. For babies under one, we recommend using our DIY Dry Kit and sweetening it with maple syrup, monk fruit, or agave instead.

Will elderberry interact with my medication or condition?

Elderberry is generally safe and well-tolerated. However, we always recommend consulting your doctor if you are pregnant, nursing, on specific medications, or have an autoimmune disease.

How many servings are in the bottle?

There are 32 servings (tbsp) for adults or 96 servings (tsp) for children per bottle.

How long will my bottle last?

Unopened bottles have an expiration date on the bottom and should be kept in a cool, dry place. Once opened, the tonic must be refrigerated and is lab-verified to stay fresh for two months.

How is this tonic different from other brands?

- Value: $29.99 for a large 16 oz bottle vs. $30 for 4 oz elsewhere.

- Eco-Friendly: We use glass bottles, never plastic.

- Clean Ingredients: No fillers, thickeners (xanthan gum), or malic acid.

- Low Sugar: We use a synergistic herbal blend (rose hips/hibiscus) to cover bitterness, allowing us to use very little honey and no refined cane sugar.

- Potency: You get 2,000 mg of elderberry goodness per tablespoon!

- Safety: We are legally produced, lab-tested, and regulated.

- 12-Herb Blend: Most brands use 4 herbs; we use 12 (including turmeric, echinacea, garlic, and astragalus) for ultimate absorption and support.

What sets our Tallow apart:

Where is our tallow sourced and what part of the cow does it come from?

Our tallow originates from beef suet, the nutrient-dense fat found around the kidneys. Suet is traditionally preferred for skincare because of its stable fatty acid profile and naturally occurring fat-soluble vitamins.

How is the tallow processed?

We handle the processing in-house. We gently melt and whip the tallow ourselves as part of our formulation process. We do not bleach, deodorize, or use any chemical processing at any stage.

How can I tell the difference between high-quality and low-quality tallow?

There is a huge range in quality on the market. Many large manufacturers white-label tallow that has been bleached or heavily deodorized, stripping away natural nutrients. We keep our ingredients simple and minimally processed so the natural qualities of the suet remain intact.

Does the tallow we use have an odor?

We use a wet-rendering process for all of our tallow products. This completely purifies the tallow, leaving it odorless while maintaining the key nutrients and benefits for your skin.

How should I store my beef tallow products?

Our Beef Tallow Balm does not need to be refrigerated. Store it in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Refrigeration is not necessary and can make the texture firmer than intended.

Elderberry Tonic DIY Dry Kits:

How to use alternative sweeteners?

While we suggest 1/2 to 1 cup of raw honey, you can use low-carb or vegan alternatives. Note that some sweeteners are sweeter than sugar, so adjust to taste.

Serving size and how often to take?

Adults take 1 tbsp per day and children take 1 tsp. It is safe to take every 2 hours when needed.

How do I store my finished elderberry tonic?

Store your freshly made tonic in the fridge in a clean jar (mason jars work great). Consume within 2 months and always keep refrigerated.

Can I make individual cups of tea with the dry kit?

Yes! Scoop out 1 tbsp of the herbs and steep them in 8 oz of hot water, covered for 10-15 minutes, then strain and add sweetener of choice.

Elderberry Tincture:

How is the tincture different from the tonic?

It’s travel-friendly! It is shelf-stable (no refrigeration needed) due to the vegetable glycerin. At 2 oz, it is TSA-compliant for carry-ons. It contains only two ingredients: elderberries and glycerin.
