Haley's Story

Roots and Leaves was established in 2017 by Haley Maness and was born out of desperation and necessity. I (Haley, Founder/Owner) was diagnosed with Lyme’s disease and mold exposure and it was wreaking havoc on my health and life. Mainstream medical was doing little to help, so I started researching alternative treatments. God introduced me to the healing world of herbs and I haven’t looked back. My first and most powerful product, Elderberry & Honey Tonic, was what began my healing journey. When I take it, I feel better. It’s as simple as that. I infuse twelve total herbs and roots into the tonic and add raw honey, making it a powerful anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial immune boosting product in one small daily dose. It’s not the only tool in my natural healing toolbox, but it is one of my favorites...and always will be. When I saw the potential healing it brought into my life, it motivated me to branch out even more with herbs and nourishing foods. I also discovered that I could not fully heal from lyme and mold until I got rid of parasites. In 2020 I discovered my root cause was parasites and did a parasite cleanse that changed my life. I can honestly say that I am 100% healed of my chronic fatigue, daily headaches, weekly migraines, intense brain fog and flu like symptoms that would come and go.

I was miserably sick for 15 years, and I healed. Naturally. And friend, so can you.

Who We Are

We are a small but mighty family-owned business, and everything we create is rooted in purpose, tradition, and heart. Haley is our herbalist, product formulator, and the creative force behind every Roots & Leaves recipe. From dreaming up new formulas to guiding the vision of the brand, she wears more hats than we can count — and pours her whole heart into each one.

Brandon, her better half, keeps the engine running behind the scenes with IT, systems, and all things technical so the business can continue to grow with clarity and intention. And then there’s Addie, our little one — the future herbalist and CEO in training. She’s the reason we care so deeply about clean, honest ingredients and creating products that families can truly trust.

We’re also incredibly grateful for our Operations Manager, Kris Shea, who oversees production, shipping, inventory, fulfillment, and so much more. Kris keeps everything moving smoothly day-to-day and brings an amazing level of care, efficiency, and integrity to every batch that leaves our doors.
